This is not the fault of the writers. Forced "mini-rooms" of shortened writing time with much smaller teams has been enforced as the norm for many years now, despite writers begging otherwise BECAUSE they can't flesh things out the way they want to and the way we deserve. It's one of the many things they're fighting with the strike.

That actually makes me feel a little better. Thanks.

I really like Gen Z. Not everything they create or talk about has me included in their target audience, but that's fine. I'm glad they're having a good time enjoying their own thing, and learning to do better than the ones that came before. ... Except for flared jeans, I'm sorry, but why did ya'll not learn from our mistakes!? Every time it rains they'll get soaked and the hems are going to rip except not even in the cool way! Please, stop with flared jeans.

Unless I have a beyond 100% guarantee that no ad, ever, will have a risk of making me PASS OUT because of the strobe effects, I will never turn off my adblock and I will NEVER pay to avoid ads. I'm not paying money to not be harmed by some asshole trying to give me malware.

I can't stand it either. I don't necessarily mind them being loud, or when they're yelling words (lmao ok I do mind, but they're kids, I figure it's reasonable for them to do, they're having fun). It's that high pitched note of a wordless scream they do that makes me want to claw my way out of a pit. At this point I have invested in two sets of noise cancelling headphones and one set of quality earplugs. My life is vastly improved.

You could probably get them on "The flag should never be used as a receptacle for receiving, holding, carrying, or delivering anything." A plate is definitely holding and carrying things.

While exciting to possibly see a supernova, I'm also heartbroken. Orion will be forever changed. Humanity has used it as a constellation for at least 30,000 years, and within our lifetimes it could lose one of its brightest stars. I don't know how to cope with this! I don't like change lmao

It's also a matter of companies squeezing every penny out of checks they can. Mini-rooms (rooms with limited writers and slashed writing time) are extremely common now, which means there's just not enough TIME to develop everything properly. Also because writers are so underpaid (after taxes and paying fees to agents, attorneys, etc) they make 21-28k while living in LA. They often need multiple jobs and they are tired and stressed. Doesn't make for the best writing conditions.

Oh that's a good point, I don't know why I hadn't thought of that sooner. Thanks for the suggestion!

Very true. But it might not always be affordable depending on their needs/budget, or practical to carry them around all the time if they do have them (assuming the invite over was more spontaneous). So for me personally, it's something I'm more willing to bend on. But to each person their own house rules!

The only reason I would ever allow someone to wear their outdoor shoes in my home is if they would be in physical pain if they didn't. A lot of shoes are designed (or retrofitted with insoles and etc) to help deal with health problems, and that matters more to me than having to do some extra cleaning. Any one else will get shown the door though.

"Fun" fact: these meetings happen behind closed doors that have no windows (a common design for other doors in Mormon churches), allowing total isolation between an adult man with a child. Another "fun" fact: it's also in the rules that no one person can be alone with the money from tithing, specifically in order to protect the money.

PS. I highly recommend a documentary on Netflix called "Disclosure" which talks about this far more eloquently than I ever could.

let alone our own. It's depressing to not see yourself in media, or portrayed poorly. So this isn't about "us" and "them," it's about acknowledgement. We're here, we're capable of handling any number of roles, and we're finally getting a seat at the table. Especially in a time where being trans is so vilified, it's more important than ever to see and acknowledge trans people who are succeeding!

Hi, nonbinary/trans person here. It's very important and exciting that this is being acknowledged (and they did it well, talking about her as an actress and casting FIRST) because for a very long time trans people haven't been in media. Then when we were in media, we were portrayed by cis people of the wrong gender--a cis man playing a trans woman, for example, like why not just cast a woman if she's going to be cis? Other people were getting to tell our stories, and we couldn't tell ANY story--

Their home still has propellers, which have demonstrably caused a lot of injury and harm to marine life. Boats often move so fast marine life has little to no warning to get out of the way. If your house had robot arms that threw knives at anything that moved, you wouldn't have much room to argue if animals started attacking back. Honestly it's weird the orcas haven't been attacking sooner.

I have brushed people off before, but I always remember the ones who asked. Being asked sometimes can make all the difference in the world.

The saddest part is most Mormons are in so deep they'll either never hear this, or put it up on the shelf like that makes it go away.

It's dangerous to go alone, take this!

I looked and how did they mess up that badly? Literally the original design had everything set up for them. I do not understand. Lego, why?

I'm going to riot if they never release the 2-hour director's cut. I will pay AAA game collector's edition levels of money for that cut.

Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance. I will never not be bitter about it.

I understand completely. I wish you the absolute best of luck in getting this done so you can have peace of mind (and body) at last.

Consent to sex is NOT consent to carrying a child. And protection--which people do use--is not 100% perfect.

I got mine done by finally going directly to a surgeon who specializes in the lower abdomen. He never questioned me once.

Nope, no alcohol––or caffeine. And standard Mormons technically don't have wives, fundamentalists do. Still a kind of Mormon though.
