Dude those are all great ideas. Since I'm going to be rich one day I want these kind of laws to protect my job creator and land lord status. I grew up on food stamps and I had to have rent assistance, so it's crazy to me how all these kids want free hand outs. I did everything by myself now they should too.
Talk with your parents honestly about the situation and tell them you're job hunting for less toxic environments. If they still scorn you, then just make a mental note that talking is pointless I suppose and keep on keeping on.
