It's does say a lot that everybody just assumes that this was political. I mean, sure, that's likely, but I would just love to see everybodys reaction if it turned out to be some insane neighbour, that lost their cool because Kirk refused to paint his fence in the HOA approved color.
Yeah, if you live in the US and belong to one or more of the groups: LGBTQ; vocal opponent of Agent Orange and/or his StrangeLove-cosplaying overlord; skincolor darker than a sheet of paper; Non-Christian; female; not a US-citizen - you at the very least should make sure you have an escape plan and a go-back ready. Heck, even if you don't belong to any of those groups, you still should do that. Good luck!

If the best idea they can come up with is threatening to bring back the insane villain from the covid arc, then they might aswell just cancel the show. Actually making it seem like people would vote for someone like this is just too unrealistic. It would never happen in real life.
