Live long and prosper.
This is the answer I gave. Institutionalized racism. And I tried to explain it in a way they understood. But I have to be careful how I phrase things and what I say. Parents can easily end my career.
I will never forget going into school the next day and talking to my 6th graders about it. One kid asked me why they didn't do anything when they had been hearing about so many cases like George Floyd. How do you explain that to an 11 year old who is confused and scared?
If I'm not mistaken, this is 'Flying Turns' at Knoebels. It is a bobsled coaster. This one is unique for modern bobsled coasters because it's modeled after a design from the 20s and is made entirely of wood. IIRC it took forever to open because they kept having trouble with it for that reason.
I feel this way when I'm asked to donate to school children. They look so disappointed when I say no that I feel obligated to explain I teach middle school and I promise I donate lots of my money to school children.
Wow! Thank you for the info!!
I didn't think of that! Thank you!
Great point! I haven't tried for a bit, but I will check her paperwork! Thanks!
Serious question: We adopted my dog from a rescue. She already has a chip with her previous owner's information on it (bad people, basically threw her out and said we could take her for money...weird situation) and when I tried to change the information on the chip, they said I needed permission from the owner on file, which I totally get. I tried to contact them, but they didn't respond. The rescue we got her from can't help (They basically just acted as a go-between). What could we do?
Same. I usually wait until our supplies show up at school cause it's a crapshoot if we get anything we need ๐
absolutely lost in the sauce
Just bought a bunch of your artwork! Everything is beautiful! I'll definitely be back to get more...
I teach middle school, and every single year this is a favourite for so many of my kids.
Laptops???? I'm using tables I took out of the trash 6 years ago that collapse on the regular lol

Thanks!
I'm a public school teacher. Our district has a 'sick bank'. You can donate your sick days to the bank and if you ever need extended medical leave you can take from the bank (ONLY if you've contributed and then you apply and are approved to use it). This is shared by every teacher in the district. Otherwise, once you are out of sick days, you have a few at half pay then...well...case by case basis, I guess.
yeaaaa kinda feels like we're headed that way

Station Eleven by Emily St. John Mandel. On a dystopian kick last year. this was AMAZING. I recommend to everyone. Killer flu & Shakespeare.
I feel ya. hard balance sometimes between pink and orange, and I want neither! The lighter your hair is, the better it'll work as well.
makes the pink really stand out. if you try manic panic, go for wildfire maybe. 2/2
make the pink really stand out.
I would read reviews on different red dyes and try to find one with an orange base - sounds like you have cooler undertones which 1/2
as well for me but don't bleed except with shampoo
manic is great, but I could not get it to NOT bleed everywhere. all over my clothes, my shower... everything. ion and Iroiro work just 1/2
Nicer colour, then I switched to Iroiro Red which is a semi-perm. once I use the permanent for a bit the semi works fine and is moisturizing
my hair has orange undertones, so I use a dye with a pink base. I used ion permanent with a 10 vol developer until it was fading to a 1/2
