I mean, that guy is pushing the other guys he’s with at about 4 seconds. Who knows if he had previously touched him.

Either way, some iteration like “don’t touch me” is a pretty common thing to say when someone gets up in your face, even if they haven’t touched you. Regardless, I don’t think a brief verbal argument necessitates this much dissection, let alone a post that shares a guy’s personal info.

Ah, it’s at 13 seconds and it’s clearly directed at the guy who got in his face, not the group at large. He prefaces it with a “touch me again, I fuckin dare you.” Just empty threats. I think you’re making it out to be a bigger deal than it is TBH.

I don’t hear that at all. Sounds like he says “you’re supporting a genocide.”

Good to know. I’ve been curious about trying them, but after tax you’re looking at over $15 for a box of 4.

Don’t forget to tack on the 8.875% sales tax!

All I wanted was a snack, like some chips and Coke Zero. Prices seemed a bit high so I snapped a few other pics.

This is where things get complicated and starts to look like the Trolley Problem.

A ceasefire allows Hamas to retain power and support, especially if they still have hostages to tout as trophies. And civilians stop dying in the crossfire.

But then it’s only a matter of time until they attack again. And now they know they can force Israel into a ceasefire if enough civilians die, regardless of how heinous their attacks on Israel are. So then how many will die in that next round of fighting?

There’s numerous polls you can find to show this. Here’s one:

https://www.pcpsr.org/en/node/961

Bear in mind there’s the government wing of Hamas and the military wing. Support is generally low for the governmental wing and high for the military wing. They love the attacks on Israel, and support for Hamas strengthens when there’s a ceasefire (I believe that poll was taken around one).

But now that the war is dragging, support for Hamas is waning:>

True, but let’s not pretend that they don’t overwhelmingly support them and even joined them on the October 7th attacks. Meaningful peace cannot begin until Hamas is eliminated. I don’t mean just eliminating them will bring peace, but until they’re gone, the process cannot begin.

In one word? BRICS.

To elaborate:

The intergovernmental organization comprising of Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa. They’ve since added Egypt, Ethiopia, Iran and the UAE. Originally created to act as a “counterbalance” to traditional Western influence (ie the US Dollar) it’s since evolved into a cohesive geopolitical bloc, with their governments meeting annually at formal summits and coordinating multilateral policies.

In short: Iran & Russia

This whole thing is such a phony display of virtue signaling. Just countersue for their supporting of Palestinian war crimes if you really want to open that can of worms.

Israel is still a meaningful ally to the US. They're in a precarious situation with enemies across the Arab-Islamic world looking to take advantage during this conflict, many of whom would also consider the US as an enemy. So we can't just abandon them. A ceasefire would most likely embolden their enemies, sparking more violence. And how worthwhile is a ceasefire with Hamas, as they routinely break them (and have done so recently in this conflict)? Biden has to navigate all of this shit. (2/2)

Am I the only one who feels like Biden has been doing a good job with this situation? He's having to walk some pretty tight lines, but it seems like he's been working behind the scenes to put pressure on Israel. An unconditional ceasefire doesn't make sense - it's essentially asking Israel to surrender to terrorism. At a minimum, it just kicks the can until Hamas attacks again. And doesn't everyone agree that removing Hamas would lead to a better future for Gaza and the Palestinians? (1/2)

I saw this when I swam with the whales in Tonga. The mothers would rest and their calves would play, like what looks to be happening here. It was awesome when you came across it because it meant you didn't have to keep pace with them swimming lol. And the calves would sometimes mimic you and you could "dance" with them in the water. Incredible.

As a New Yorker, that doesn't seem too far off.

It’s Milton, MA. There’s a few New England references. And a bunch for youth sports teams in Milton. Plus, a Fontbonne Academy basketball jersey. That’s a private all-girls school in Milton, MA (I dated a girl from there back in high school).
