If you don't have any credit history then getting a card is a great idea. Length of credit history greatly affects your credit score.
You should clarify then. Other than rewards CCs are mostly the same unless you carry a balance which is stupid.
Just never pay CC interest. Only buy what you can pay off.
I net about $3k in bonuses a year just by using credit cards
