It's not probably not uniform across all plants. I think It's up to whoever is doing the purchasing for the company's armory.
Most of those involve birds that are migrating. The rest of the time if a bird can avoid a plane it will. They aren't airborne deer.
90% of bird strikes happen at the airport during TO or landing. Most of the rest involve planes that fly into a large flock.
If it wasn't true planes would hit birds much more often. I've got about 15 hours flying believe me, for the most part they do .

In 2008/9 my employer had a similar response to flu. The actual virus doesn't matter it's the impact & means of transmission that does.

1. HIPPA only applies to doctors/nurses/hospitals/etc not individuals. If you're not a health care provider HIPPA is irrelevant.
