In the US it’s common to put you under but not in places like the UK. I’m thankful that I moved to the USA before I reached the age where I started getting regular colonoscopies. It’s one of thew few perks about US healthcare though.
Previously a Tesla owner and had no issues with road trips due to their charging infrastructure. Swapped for an F150 Lightning, and road trips took much more planning and charger access was unreliable. Thankfully, Ford EVs can now use the Tesla chargers. It just makes long trips easier, although I’d rather not give Elon my money

I had to pass a civics test to get US Citizenship. The number of my natural-born US citizen friends who couldn’t answer the questions was alarmingly high.
