I wish I could do this. I have ADHD and an arrhythmic heart, can't drink too much coffee and energy drinks are a huge no-no. Either I keep my job and slowly destroy my heart in the process, or keep my heart somewhat healthy but my performance suffers.
I think it does. In my case, masking is really stressful cause you have to make a conscious effort to socialize "appropriately", I panic when I slip and overanalyze people's reactions to anything I say. A bad interaction can ruin my whole day. After my diagnosis, I started embracing my own personality and my days are a lot more colorful and vivid since the people around me also know I'm autistic.
I'm from LatAm (not mexico) and love spicy food. Some bland dishes can become tolerable with a splash of hot sauce, some great dishes taste a lot better with just a bit of hot sauce. But even I know that if the food is really good, a culinary masterpiece, it does not need any hot sauce at all. It would be like eating a grilled T-bone steak with ketchup. Blasphemy!
Same here. I was really close to buying my dream house (great credit, mortgage pre approved with nice monthly payments) and it all went to shit thanks to an MVA. To think you can do everything right, and all it takes is a moron driving a car. I spent almost two years recovering, all my debt piled up, fucked up my credit score, could not finish my degree, someone else bought the house and now I'm paying a lot of money to rent a small-ass shitty house. Will it ever get better?
This is what I've been doing since reddit changed their API. Sure, it feels awful at first but you get used to it, especially because my mom passed away when reddit went to shit and I didn't have access to Boost to distract myself. Now I spend a lot of time with my partner, my dog, doing chores and started lifting weights again instead of spending the whole day mindlessly browsing reddit.
Where do you live? I might as well move there, earthquakes are unnerving to me.
I would watch those unboxing videos to pretend I know how it felt like to open something I'd never have.
To study calculus then I get so invested that I just can't stop, even though I'm fully aware that I need to study for other classes
I'm studying chemical engineering and I'm a complete failure. My biggest issue is that I can only focus on one class only. I mean if I start
