The swishing tail means that at least at the beginning, the cat was not entirely comfortable with this.

Lockdown was amazing. Work went wfh so I spent most of it working. Then I got furloughed. 3 months at 70% pay while not having to work. I could do whatever I wanted and not have to talk to anyone. I realised my dream of building and flying RC planes. I had a Christmas that was just me and the cat. No driving for hours, no dealing with annoying family.

Big box computer games in the late 80s and 90s used to be amazing. You'd get a massive cardboard box. Sometimes a ring bound manual with detailed instructions, map, objects etc.

Wanting expanded borders is one thing, and I'm not going to discuss whether that's right or wrong. Kiilling 6 million innocents including Anne Frank is completely indefensible. It's VERY well documenteded that it definitely did happen too.

Another person learns the hard way: dont hold your food up in an area where there are Seagulls. They are absolutely remorseless.

Have you taken this cat to a vet to check whether it has a microchip? If it has one, they usually have the name, address and phone number of the registered owner. Someone might be wondering where their missing cat is.

STOP BREEDING MUNCHKIN CATS AND ENCOURAGING PEOPLE TO OWN THEM. There is nothing cute about cats bred to be deformed.

#30 apparently I am one of those people who can just...sleep, although I used to not be. My technique for sleeping is think of a number. Close your eyes and visualise that number. When you feel your thoughts drifting to things about that number or other unrelated things, visualise the number. Focus only on the number. Imagine an image of the number getting larger. You will eventually literally bore yourself to sleep.

I once gave a homeless guy money, and later that night saw him in the pub, spending my money on drink.

Who doesn't like a good bing?

Yes. OS/2 Warp was IBM's big attempt at a desktop version. They co-operated with Microsoft on it so that it could even emulate and run Windows and DOS programs. It was to be the next big thing. At some point Microsoft went "lol no", and created Windows 95 instead. Warp la8nched but was a flop and pushed IBM out of the desktop area.

No, it is not illegal. Filming people in public, even without their consent specifically IS LEGAL in the UK

Newsgroups are still used for file downloading, but now there are programs that automate downloading all the parts and combining them.

If you're going to need a reference from your previous employer (and most future employers will ask for it) it's best to leave on good terms

You must have been in one of the exempt categories then. Many people have to pay something even when dentistry is done through the NHS.

Also no fees for the unemployed, not sure about students etc.

I don't know ow long ago you lived in the UK but NHS dental work is not free. There are standard fees for minor and major dental work.

I don't have to worry about being made bankrupt or not being able to afford it if I get sick. No one should have to.

If people need expensive treatment that potentially costs millions, they get it. Other than dental and opticians, our healthcare is free.

4 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

That's true, but in the UK I pay a certain amount in taxes. In return I can get whatever treatment I need for £0 additional cost.
