This is my public profile. I've written something about myself!

So does any 90s website. Even (especially) Reddit. Yeah I know, 2005 but whatever, same difference. They had some terrible communities. But I guess things change.

Seems weird, given that the 4chan crowd was thrown out of old SA (way, wayyy back in time) for being unfunny and gross, and frankly 4chan is the same today. SA isn't. Not even remotely.

Yeah you know what? It's my bad for even mentioning CSPAM. Just... go literally anywhere else on the forums. Not FYAD. Anywhere else though. Maybe not D&D those guys are boring.

Honestly don't know about that, but mittens wasn't a poster anyway. Like I said, the eve goons are a pretty poor cross section of the forums.

Yeah what the other guy said, this posting system sucks. Things are for real completely different and if you're an internet veteran that likes to chat with resourceful and interesting people, it's an incredible repository of knowledge. Like, you'll find more tech advice there than google will find you these days. Front page sucks though

Really? I was in GoonSwarm and I never saw any of that, then again I was in the later periods, not the beginning. Possibly Goonswarm wasn't a good ambassador, and for sure not representative. The N-word has been a bannable offense for two decades now. Hell, damn near every pejorative I can think of is. Old SA is gone.

Yeah all the edgy memelord stuff from the early 00s is long gone. It's a no bigotry no gamerbro safe space now. For real, if you're anti-LGBTQ or right-winger it's not the place for you. It's just old nerds shaking their heads at the internet these days.

Funny, SASS-poster or one of those bread and roses weirdoes? Anyway, all the things you mentioned have been permabannable offenses for decades, but yeah if your only knowledge of the place stems from the late 90s no wonder.

Y'all are just now coming to realize what Reddit is? My advice, get into the spaces of the old internet nerds, pre-enshittification of forums and immune to bots. The Something Awful forums has an entire subforum called "Luigi's Mansion" and the report button has been replaced with a button that says "Call Luigi". Just saying, I've never experienced a cleaner, smarter or more compassionate space online. Go where they can't fuck with you.

And boring. But to put an idea in your head, there's a place online you can go to get creative writing feedback for free, probably find---

That said, I'm hardly qualified to edit stuff since 1. english is not my first language and 2. I'm a lawyer so what I write is technical.

I mean, for sure, but to my mind you don't need an editor, at most you need a proof-reader but your own editing is at this point top notch.
