Trazodone worked wonders for my pups. Gave it around 9:30 pm. They didn't react with the fireworks and are snuggled up like little babies on my bed.

A quick word about pet insurance: they work the same as human insurance. Put the money you would be paying monthly on the premium into a separate savings account instead.
Start looking for other places while you are at work. Go into work early and sit in your car to look them up if you don't want them to know. Confide in friends, hell, anyone to help.
