Amazon would take 70% if he self published on Amazon.
Their was no lawsuit. The guy was contacted by Apple about the use of schematics and it was blown out of proportion. But never a lawsuit.
Yeah this was near legoland.
There were a few more publications that made the same mistake. Most apologized and fixed it. Including cosmo.
Good luck. Getting in as an artist is really hard. Studio I'm at has 250 people and I think less than 10 are artists.

3/2 kindle unlimited pays out of a pool based on how many pages read. So your 200 page book may earn a dollar vs $2+ for a sale.
2/2 I list some books with Amazon/KU and some with other places for wider distribution (Apple, bn, kobo, etc) depending on genre.
Amazon with kindle unlimited requires exclusivity for iirc 4mo contracts. You keep 70% royalties if priced between 2.99-9.99. 1/2

States stopped contributing to college. In the 70s states paid 75% of the cost. Now it's closer to 20%. It's now paid by students.
I got off easy with them. I kept getting hit with long distance call charges. I didn't have phone service with them...
He spent $1255 to save less than $400 in taxes. Not the best reason for donating.
Admission has doubled for most universities. And for many schools they'll take you as long as you have money.
It's harder to get in to uni in Germany. Here we accept almost anyone. Hell I got in with a 2.0/4.0 gpa. The only barrier is cost. 1/2

My office has donuts 3x a week. I don't buy it. But it still tempts me.
They had free movement. So people from U.K. Could do jobs in other countries as well. So now the people with jobs now have to app for a visa

I wish they broke out just lobbyist and PAC money to give a clearer picture. Some of the smaller donations could just be from constituents.
Not a defense but not all money is "bad". Some is from constituents who work at said companies. Not necessarily all PAC/lobbyist money. 1/2
