Technically it provides worse lateral sability because the lateral stability comes form holing a corner down (not inward even if it could "grip" the metal). On an angle the washer's greatest distance from the central point is ever so slightly smaller resulting in worse lateral stability. Also companies provide instructions; Confast, Simpson, etc. Their instructions always show perpendicular.
I get your point and someone speaking more eloquently (and to a different audience) I might even think they meant it.. but not in this speech. I drive a Tesla (bought in 2021 before Elon went bat-shit). I completely agree we need a standard, however Tesla paved the way and brought us nationwide charging networks that we needed for EVs to become practical (or possible). With Tesla charging network making EVs possible other companies could use the support of existing EV market to start bringing their chargers in that are universal. Now we need to complete the evolution of all charges for all vehicles.
There are countless "Security screw" designs that they could have used and it would piss people off just as much. I prefer this over a shite overall design that requires the back seats and headlights to be removed before you can get your socket to fit on a damn spark-pug.. Aside from making maintenance hard it's a nice aesthetic. I don't drive a BMW so doesn't matter to me either way though..

We used to call then 'tank slappers' I had it happen once and IMO it wasn't anything I did wrong. Accelerated hard, front end got light (but not wheeling or being a d!ck) and hit an uneven bump in the road at about 60km/h. Came away feeling like I had two broken wrists but luckily stayed on the bike.
Not necessarily. I got it once on a band new bike with no steering bearing issues. I was accelerating quickly (not wheeling) but the frontend got light and hit an uneven bump.

I know this is old but those window breakers are only meant for side windows. Any windshield build in the last 30 or 40 years is laminated with plastic you cannot shatter them. Period. As someone who has replaced a few windshields a pointy hammer, cold chisel etc will only put a hole through as large as the tool (and crack the glass around) but will not shatter it. Check the YouTubes and you can see how hard it actually is.
yeah... 100% fake. If you've ever tried to break a windshield (for legit reasons like replacing it) you know how hard it is.. full swing of a hammer doesn't go though. It's two sheets of glass with plastic film laminated between them. This is probably sugar glass.. also probably why the bird tried to eat the glass.
Also.. ALL colour that we perceive works this way. Something that is blue is reflecting only (or mostly) the blue part of the spectrum. Unless the post is saying the fish produced blue light like a light bulb.. but it doesn't appear to be emitting light..
Yes they were. We just can't see the car they just passed from this perspective. Look at the bike riding directly on top of the painted lines. *pause video* The driver likely didn't see them in their mirrors or shoulder check because there were so close on the inside. Mirrors are positioned to make vehicles in the next lane obvious not vehicles overpassing in the same lane
Look where the first bike is on the road. They _were_ lane splitting but they had already passed a car that we can't see in this shot and presumably going to pass the next car. Mirrors have blind spots as well it's likely the driver didn't see an object coming up so close to the inside like that. Even shoulder checking might have missed them. *Disclaimer: while I don't lane split I have no problem with safe lane-splitting (traffic jam & low speed). I'm not a hater
