You could 100% build an ev that looked like this today. It just wouldnt sell more than a few units and be a massive loss

Or other option is fast lap times, but that still requires a 110+ top speed which is damn hard in a bug due to the horrid aero of the car

> by a stock mustang GT you can't be considered fast

In modern era? Sub 3.5 0-60 and north a 135 top speed. I honestly don't like fast of that level, but I think in 2020 terms if yoy are beat >

The highest HP NA motor i have litteraly ever seen in a bug is 240 HP and it is 30-40k. You can be quick, but not fast without deep pockets

GG. yah, fair enough. Not much forgiving that even if it was an anomaly

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

bad when compared to the rest of pre, say, mid 80s cars (2/2)

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Either you have driven mostly nice shit or yours was in bad condition. It is a 70s shitbox, dont get me wrong, but they arent *that* (1/2)

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

super easily at 10k befor you have ever even began any fab work (2/2)

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Even those are big bucks tbh. Just a stand alone wiring harness is 3k. Then add a trans that can take it and a doner and you are (1/2)

Just dont plan on it being fast without 20k+ into it. Engines for these cars are stupid fucking expensive for minimal power

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

1/2s faster to 60 than the 328 (86 was the switchover) and only has 20mph higher top speed and .5g better road holding (2/2)

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Now? No they arent, but they were for the day. Dont forget the terterossa had biblicaly high numbers for its day and it was only (1/2)

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Lol. yes they were. Stage 2 chip dropped with the CSX in 1987 and could be dealer installed on GLH-Ss. It has a MOPAR part number

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It didnt hold its own though. It is a fast car, but its a full tier under Ferraris of the era (even the mondial)

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Lol. I hope it is given I own a fairly nice one, but my hopes arent exactly high

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yah. SN 001 w/ 15k miles that was garage kept its entire life.... A 6k mile mint one sold over the weekend for just 25k

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The GLH-S is a fantastic car, and it realy is fast as hell for the day, but it never was meant to be a super car eater (6/6)

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

but you dont buy a mondial because its fast. You buy it cause its nice. The GLH-S is outclassed by my 74 bug in terms of build quality (5/?)

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

a Mondial 3.2 of the same year is a similar performance (but better road holding) than the GLH-S with a stage 2 chip (dealer option) (4/?)

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

But they arent ferrari levels. Not to mention a ton of what makes a ferrari a ferrari isnt actualy the speed, but the experience. (3/?)

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

top speed. Thats not to even mention the testarossa. These cars are certainly fast (litteraly 3s faster to 60 than the GTI of the time)(2/?)

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

no..... no it didnt..... Look man, I own an 86 GLH-S. The 328 GTS is 1s faster to 60, .1Gs better on the skidpad, and has a 30 mph (1/?)

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

dude 100% spent more than the car is worth. I wouldnt have done it (and I am an owner of one of these cars), but I am glad he did

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

for a car hand build by our lord Carroll Shelby

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Oh holy fuck. Tyvm for that. I haven't even seen that build on the turbo dodge forums

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Damn right. Got a mopar stage 2 chip in it too

There is the GS gold award which is similar, bit no one knows about it outside of scouts

6 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0
