Artificially. They jack up the price so that they can *say* they're giving you a big discount when you're actually just paying the regular price. The example used is perfect. Raise the price of a $600 product by $200 so it's now $800. Then you can put it "on sale" for $600 and *say* you're giving a 25% discount, despite selling something for the exact price you would have a week ago. Then Black Friday ends, and the price goes back up to $800, and you just keep it at that price.

Most gender restrictions in sports were actually put in place because audiences in the 40s disliked seeing women beat men in their top sports, or simply because, for years, women weren't allowed to compete at all. In modern days, some league divisions, such as fencing, are maintained to protect men from the much more violent and aggressive women's league. I know from experience.

What are you talking about when you say "*very* recent"? We have records of trans people dating back to ancient Egypt. We have people trying to transition with hormones as far back as 1400. Modern surgeries started being developed in the 1930s, the most widely used has been around since the 70s. Modern hormones have been used since the 30s as well.

I wish I was rich enough to move away from the state I'm in or had enough of a support network, or skills that could get me a job, or assurance I won't end up homeless in this new place. Hell I'm struggling to find an apartment that will let me print before I start my new job *in the state I already live in*
