I was this once. I went back to an old apt after moving to see a neighbor and knocked on the door of my old place. Two women answered and I mentioned I was the previous tenant. I was invited in and saw immediately how stupid men are. Rugs. RUGS. Curtains for privacy/light control. Photos and art on the walls. Things you like that make you happy when you see them. They make the place a home, recharges and makes relaxing and feeling safe and owning a space possible. Check it out maybe.

To both of you: what brand pan? Mine is heavy and thick and doesn't appear to bowl on glass electric stove top. Could that be an issue?

I disagree. Compared to nonstick which are meant for low to medium heat, cast iron gives you high heat great for certain tasks.
