Same!

I don't need to. I have horses, and know very well they could have little to no reaction.

Yeah, they would. Just depends on how broke and desensitized they are.

You would be surprised. They even sleep standing up at times. If they're well-broke, not a lot bothers them.

You would be amazed at how still/quiet they stand. Our team of draft horses stands super still and relaxed even in the loudest of places.

Well that sounds absolutely terrible... not!

We usually have snow cover this time of year, Christmas is a little different without it!

I was sitting on my mule for this, so I was all set! Girls are very docile, too ?

They can live up to their 30's, even into 40's. But their working life can be much shorter. Just depends on a lot of things.

It depends on the size, breed, what they are used for, care, etc... he's not young, but I wouldn't say he's super old either.

That native guy was ok. Should have gotten the Oscar.

Pretty minimal effort for a group that supposedly cares. That's why the discussion progressed to their lack of effort, they weren't helping.

Please explain? They're so concerned about the welfare of animals, yet all they have time for is criticizing instead of actually helping.

3) and I'm assuming people who downvote this are one in the same.

Yeah I sure saw them hooking up to livestock trailers or hauling hay, feed, or other supplies to the farm animals they sure care about.

You mean like 99% of farmers, or does nobody really want to talk to the people who raise their food?

2) the spread of false information to push their flawed agenda upon people who can't think for themselves/can't get both sides of the story

1) Anybody who actually follows what they do knows that these things are true. They are are a radical terrorist organization that promotes

PETA doesn't give a flying fuck about animals. Where were they when all the flooding and huge fires were taking place in the US? Yeah.

Be a lot safer in their position in the semi than some of those people in the cars.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

They sure can. We've only ever had one truly mean sow; she'd come after you if you even looked at her wrong. The rest of our girls are sweet

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

300 is small, market weight. We have some sows that are 600, a few 700.

So sorry for your loss. They will be great to pass along to your daughter down the road, I'm sure she will cherish them.

I really need to stop cutting these onions.

That's an interesting visual

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Makes you appreciate it more I think, too

I have a few special ones I've raised that I won't eat or ever sell. But I do eat meat, so raise all with as much respect and care possible

Merry Christmas to you as well! He's doing very well now, excitedly greets me every time I bring him a bottle or go to check on him!
