My younger brother remembers very little of our childhood. We had a lot of childhood trauma and stress. I remember much more than he does. Your experience is not uncommon. I think it is a protective mechanism. Treat yourself gently.
My mother had Borderline Personality Disorder. I get how hard this is. You need to remember this is her issue and not something you deserve. I made new family from friends and they have been a lifeline and a source of joy and comfort. Create your own circle of caring friends. Strangers on the internet are willing to listen. We want you to be well. Extra (sane) mom here if you need one.

Grieving a pet is normal. You are doing that on wild surging pregnancy hormones. Be gentle with yourself. Pregnancy is a wild ride, and at the end you will have a baby you will love fiercely. You will always miss your lost cat. Don't worry about the intensity you are experiencing. It is normal for pregnancy.
Parenting is hard enough - single parenting is moving into hero mode. Courage!
