I took a job out of college 3 states away from anyone I knew. While looking for the address of the place I’d found to stay, I was T-boned and my car was totaled. Here I was, stranded in a strange place with nobody to call and with everything I owned in the back. A bystander spoke with the police, helped me gather what survived the crash and brought me to their sister-in-laws house down the street. Once I calmed down, he drove me to the address which was a couple streets over. Kindest thing ever.

I’d argue paper chromatography, as with TLC, are both essentially LC since they use liquid as the mobile phase.

Meh that’s what analytical software is for. If you’re doing integrals by hand, you’re doing it the hard way.

The separation of different inks using water on filter paper is a science called “liquid chromatography”.

Yeah this. Vacations and dinners are fine but you can do those later. There’s a finite amount of time for certain experiences and I feel like parenthood is one of those.

Fantastic! Now when I leer at photos I’m not a “creepy weirdo” I’m “being nostalgic”

I didn’t think we could improve on splooting, but then someone comes up with heat dumping and takes it to a whole new level

I’m chuckling how Kentucky misunderstood the assignment and still answered “Spanish”

Nordic towns were named after the sounds made by someone who didn’t blow on their food when it was too hot and just suffered until they could chew… true story.

Having children is, inexplicably and simultaneously, the best and worst decision you’ll ever make.
