Piggybacking top comment to add a few things: If he is old enough and his school has a career day, try to help him at it by getting him in touch with some pros to mentor him. Not for the coding itself explicitly, but for the job prep. In addition to networking being a huge asset at any office job, there are a lot of soft skills he's going to need to pick up that don't exist on a forklift. An internship or mentorship will do a lot to prep him for that aspect.
