With a degree is more likely to be a better candidate because they just spent 4 years learning the topics, not always though. Proposing 4/n
programming techiqnues. Languages don't matter because you should be able to learn any language. That's a sily point you made. A person 3/n
build small projects that need get used. Also during school you learn from those books, work with classmates, and learn proper 1/n
People with degrees actually have even less experience with almost everything you listed because they learn of some random website and 1/n

Asumming I put away 50k a year. Housing being around 400k. Still 8 years.
Yeah a 100k place is easily doable. The problem is finding a house less than 300k
