My usual takeaway food is a halloumi pita wrap. Fried halloumi, good load of salad, chili+garlic+yoghurt sauces. It's amazing

Cool! Wasn't sure if it would be exported all the way to US!

Wow that's steep. I'd expect around 4-5€, a bit more if bio

Is that real (PDO) halloumi from Cyprus? Or an American version?

Sad that modern monuments wear down in 30 years without maintenance while we still have pyramids, Sphinx, Pantheon et al from the ancients.

France has like the third most impressive military history after Rome and Mongols, or about that anyway.

How so? I've been always intrigued by Wales and Devon/Cornwall areas, never been there though. Visited just the usual London and Edinburgh

Talking of the tray, why is it this foam material? Cafeterias should have porcelain in US too right?

I think they're doing MVVM, the code has ViewModels to match. Just not organized by feature for some reason.

The small building on the right has a chimney, looks like a sauna to me.

* AppCompatActivity alternate constructor
* Use Views through bindings
* Move Toolbars to Fragments
* Inject ViewModel
* Use ktlint + detekt

If you get short leaves like a bad cold every month then it's completely on the employer though

For a long sickness company usually pays full salary for 2-12 weeks, then you drop to generic sickness benefits. Obv depends by country

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah you'll need doctor's note of course in Europe too. Some countries/jobs have 1 or 2 days without note and then you'll need to get one.

All European countries at least? If you're sick you're sick. You'll need doctor's note and company pays up to a point then public takes over

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

You don't have unlimited sick leave in Canada? I thought it's more like Europe in there.

Honestly, there are many jobs that make this easy while living a good life. Problem is just getting there.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

Well that was a stupid thing to do

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I guess everyone knows but in tech you can make that and then some
