No one needs to justify it for you. Long as he is legal and his collection is property secured.. he is a collector like anyone else
It's a hobby like anything else. Maybe he likes building and maintaining them. My grand-dad enjoyed cleaning his guns more than firing them.

Also shotguns are slow and blow right through walls. Pistols also go through walls like butter. 556 is going so fast it breaks up in the wal
And yes an AR is very useful for home defense. There are many home intrusions with multiple attackers. A pistol isn't the most accurate 2/2
I use mine for hunting and matches. Some for defense as well. It's literally just a tool that flys a metal ball in the air.. 1/2
You guys have your own issues as well. Mass stabbings, vehicle ramming, frequent terrorist attacks, etc. Don't know why only guns count.
And figure out WHY people want to commit mass murder in the first place.. forget about the method for a second. 2/2
No your idea wouldn't be effective and would still infringe on people's rights. We just need to enforce the laws already on the books.. 1/2
