Its a fake snake, also dont kill snakes of any kind unless they pose a real threat. Even venomous ones... danger noodles are ver important.

As someone who's family literally makes maple syrup. Maple syrup comes from boiled tree blood and sacrifice of spinal cord.

That's what a lot of keepers do, either knock them out painlessly with dry ice and freeze, or buy pre frozen rodents (more humane too)

Herpetologist here, these are harmless (try to look scary) in holes they actually used painted bearded dragons which are also harmless.

If you handle them properly, theres little chance of that happening. (In simple terms, dont lift them by the tail, or grab like a bird)

Just give them what they need, tall inclosure, lots to climb on, proper heat, hydration, and healthy diet. Simple if u do research.
