The stupid thing is confidence comes by faking it. You don't even need to lie that well to pull it off. Ever remember a crime movie and they are like "Just look like you belong there if you are caught." That is confidence and it is faked, whether asking a girl out or asking a teller for all the money it is simply a matter of lying because they can't read your mind and know you are about to freak out because you forgot to load the gun or bring the flowers. It is really stupid but hey it works and one day it will stop being a lie.
