So *THAT'S* why they used that effect all the time in the 80s.

Man, I was responding to a shitpost with a shitpost. Don't stress it.

If they can enforce their claim, they're more than welcome to try. Don't rattle the saber if you're not willing to draw it.

This greenland thing is stupid, yes. But it's a mistake to think trump's not willing to follow through on his threats. (Also, this move of his falls in line with the Monroe Doctorine, which is still foundational to US foreign policy)

#1 becomes darkly funny when you consider her accusations against Dr. Luke (whoever that is, I didn't pay much attention back then)

Yes, I have had heat stroke before. I fucking hate the cold more than anything.

I'm getting frostbite just watching. I would rather get heat stroke than that.

Is this a real question? Australia has stricter border regulations than most of the world, roughly on par with the US & Canada, both in terms of biosecurity and immigration. They're actually stricter than the US on unauthorized arrivals, with North Korea & similar dictatorships being the only nation recognized as significantly stricter. If you arrive by illegally by boat, you can never get citizenship, even if you get granted asylum.

Well, they have rabbits as an example of why they need to limit & control biological imports.

Once protestors start breaking things, it's no longer a protest but a riot. It doesn't matter what the people holding it *call* it. And this particular riot did 4 million euro in damage to the university buildings. If protest groups won't self-police for bad actors, they'll keep getting treated as criminals.

Not 100%. I lived in Colorado Springs for 15 years, during the time when Steamboat was gentrified. So yea, no hard data, just an estimate based on known socio-economic factors. It's impossible to 100% know what anyone's motivations are though.

Steamboat Springs is a long way from any major metro, and it's a rich folks town, like Aspen. So he probably ran into an issue where his staff could no longer afford to live there and work for him, so he bought a place he can rent to them instead of having to raise wages to compete with rising local rent prices.

Oh, maybe it was white privilege when I was 13 years old and my stepdad whipped me down the street with a dog leash because I couldn't run as fast as him and was coughing up little bits of blood. In Colorado Springs, in broad daylight.
You see the 1% and decide that all white people deserve to be painted with the same brush. I will never support any group that decides people need to pay for the crimes of other people based on their skin tone, or even associates with & promotes those who do.

"Is it because you're afraid we'll treat you like you treated us?" I fucking hate that. I am a white man, but I am not my ancestors, neither are you. I don't want to hear shit about white privilege. I received my first concussion when I was 11 from my stepdad, while my mother watched and said nothing. My high school graduation gift was a suitcase and being told "We're turning your room into a grow room." White privilege from my experience, is the privilege to go through life with no support.

#4, I would have gone to more afters if they'd been like that. Most of the time they were just held in an empty space in a shopping mall or a bigger self-storage room.

#46 both is good.

He was referencing a desktop keyboard, friend. Most people don't know many unicodes, especially for diacritic ring letters, as most languages don't use them.

I wonder how they get it started.

Considering the news today, I expect there was a classified part of that meeting about the US's ongoing stance on Russia.

It's called esquites, and it's basically the same thing as elote.

Well, I disagree with #10. We're the cloud of electrons that exists because of those chemicals, not the chemicals themselves. Our whole biological framework exists just to let us pretend to be self-aware. Eventually we'll figure out how to create circuitry to replicate the chemicals and be able to move on from the goopy slush.

They primarily eat other snakes.

Probably none, king cobras are *extremely* venomous, but they also are some of the most intelligent snakes. They primarily eat other snakes & are capable of recognizing individual humans. That guy probably gives it water regularly, and it likely knows that the humans will keep away the predators it has to worry about.

King Cobras are actually a separate species. They exist in their own genus, and their closest related species are mambas.

They do have hoods though.
