Why can’t we talk about both? Why does it have to be an instead

Well when you have no other option because the local police station has been burned down you may have to make that choice.
I should also say i dont think going for lethal shots should be the first course of actions. Warning shots and shooting to wound is possible
No i don’t think it is, they would have no warning and no path of recourse in that scenario.
Why should people give up things they have worked their whole lives for just because someone walks up and says “i want this”?
I’m not sure why “fair” is in quotes there. But yea if i say “take that and i shoot” and some takes it, and i shoot, what did they expect
The looter in this scenario made their choice. If they are given fair warning and made aware of the consequences and continue. ?
