You forget how rampant antisemitism is in the West. There are plenty of people here who will harass Jews on the street, and then defend themselves by shouting catchphrases about "Zionism."
It isn't really a hypothesis. He's just giving a vacuous quote for people who want to promulgate the idea that Hamas and Hezbollah somehow aren't terrorists.
Fortunately, that's not the main message here. Cook here seems to mainly be interested in trying to get you believe that Hamas and Hezbollah aren't really terrorist groups, despite the insane numbers of Palestinians, Lebanese, Syrians, etc. they've killed without any involvement by Israel whatsoever.
I like the lesson in how one small comment that's ostensibly about journalism can be used to whitewash the crimes of well-known terrorist organizations like Hamas and Hezbollah.
I feel like more people need to pay attention the difference between *instinct* (genetic programming) and things like *impulse* or *unthinking habitual motion*.
How about instead of ranting online like the people in the post did, you go and study those languages and *make* them budge by inventing and popularizing a new way to express things?
Yes, very often! But then some idiot comes along and tries to turn the fun of e.g. comparative linguistics into a stupid aggressive pissing contest, like they did in this post. And then some other idiot comes along and attacks me for suggesting that we should just enjoy things instead of *hating*.

Did you miss the part of the picture where she's smoking? Last I checked, nicotine was a neurotoxin and all of the particulates in smoke can case a vast panoply of ugly diseases, e.g. mouth cancer.
