People who unironically like the US are just people who've never been anywhere else. It's all they know.
This one was able to tolerate the sexism and abuse long enough to enter the world championship. That's a good sign of social progress.
That's true for a lot of male dominated activities like chess or engineering. Women don't want to enter because of the sexual harassment.
The Polgar sisters disagree with you.
The Polgar sisters tossed theory in the bin. Women don't play chess because it's supposed to be a fun game but the sexism runs deep.
Mostly to prevent harassment and discrimination against the women who attend. I wish I could say it wasn't a serious problem but it is.
My parents tell me that ash from the explosion made it all the way up to Edmonton, AB and formed a snow-like sheet on the porch.
Here in Canada an innocent man was held for three days because the cops misidentified him. The cops were all charged and convicted for it.
Also, they just snap. A decade of good behavior and training can't help you prevent or predict attacks.
The placebo effect is a real effect and even if it doesn't technically do anything safe changes will improve your chances. Good luck OP.
This is also true of dead bodies.
Exactly (1/2)^n where n is the number of levels which is indeed very small for large n.
A binomial curve. Bell curves are the curve binomials curves approximate as you increase the number of bins and levels to infinity.
It's not a bell curve it's a binomial distribution. They look a lot like bell curves but they're not the same.
The location is irrelevant. All that matters is that you have a 50/50 shot of going left or right at each junction.
It doesn't matter where you pour them as long as there is a 50/50 shot of going left or right at each junction.
It's a binomial curve not a bell curve. With infinite splitting and balls it would become a bell curve in the limit.
Yes. A class 6 rapid is a class 5 rapid that no one has ever survived. Once a class 6 has been shot successfully it becomes a class 5.
Binomial curve. The bell curve would be if they had infinite bins at the bottom and infinite balls to approximate it in the limit.
It's a binomial curve not a bell curve. It's very common to mistake them for one another.
No not really. As long as it's 50/50 at each intersection you'll get this pattern.
Not normal, it's a binomial distribution and only approximates the normal distribution.
No it's going to be the same distribution as long as there are equal changes of going left or right at each intersection.
No because the shape is determined by the dividers not the interaction of the balls. As long as it's 50/50 to go left or right you get this.
It's not though, it's the binomial distribution and only approximates normal.
It really is. I can't name another river that has killed millions of people in a single incident and the Yellow has done that several times.
The Yellow River is very dangerous and routinely murders millions of people.
The Yellow River is one of the five cradles of civilization and while it does routinely murder millions of people it grows them a lot too.
The Yellow River is normally very dangerous and routinely murders millions of people when it decides to change routes.
Each year a few people die in the yellow river but when it decided to randomly divert itself it typically kills a few million.
