I think it depends on company too? I go between an F and DDD depending. Some don’t have 1 or the other.
Anesthesia doesn’t really work on me; the dentist couldn’t knock me out when I had to get my wisdom teeth out...so I was wide awake for that

Once it dies down and they get used to each other’s scents and presence then you introduce face to face; and supervise them! :)
Feed on either side of the door to associate good stuff with other kitty. Let them smell each other through the door. Hissing is normal —
Having a separate rooms for each cat in the beginning is important, then let them flip flop living spaces for a bit to smell each other —
Cats can take up to 6 weeks to get used to each other! It’s common for them to be grumpy at first. It’s process to get them acquaintanced —
I like how everyone kinda forgets that Washington and Oregon have had mail in Ballots for years and it’s been fine.
You know dudes cringe when they see another dude get hit in the balls? #24 has that same energy for girls. Titty pain hurts.
