My guess: the moment a Russian nuke is confirmed to have been launched, the US will target every Russian sub they successfully kept eyes on and attempt retaliatory strikes on every known missile silo and nuclear facility within Russia. Hopefully the latter will be conventional, but at that point all options are likely on the table.

1 in 100 would be dozens. Like the US, Russia does not have their entire arsenal ready for launch. Each country has just shy of 1,700 active warheads with total stockpiles of 5,200 (US) and 5,800 (RU). The US spent $44B usd in 2022 on their nuclear program, Russia spent about $10B usd. A quarter of the amount for roughly the same quantity, and we all know that the full $10B did not make it to it's intended purpose.

Change in air density causes condensation, sunlight refracts off this and can create a rainbow effect, in this case only red is visible.

MAN Portable Air Defense. Anti-air missiles that can be launched by ground troops rather than a vehicle or permanent installation.

They're regulars at the Chicago Air show. One will fly along the coast and a second will do a low pass over North Ave Beach out to the lake.

While the weapon on paper is definitely worrying; I wonder how prevalent it would be, due to cost and manufacturing, and how reliable it is.

There is a replaceable module in the saw that shoots the blade into a chunk of a aluminum, literally self-destructing.

In most cases, no damage at all! To your hand at least, the blade is basically fused with a chunk of aluminum.

Grew up in an Italian family. Telling a raging Italian woman to calm down is a fate worse than death.

Unfortunately, people are dumb, arrogant, and lazy. Don't think the rules apply to them.

They had a mandatory safety course of 8 hours, 2 of which were spent on the Table saw. And they paid around $60 if they tripped the saw.

An architect would never be designing the door, especially for an apartment. They would give specs, contractors and owner would choose.
