The princible is the same, the heat will slowly eat away your burner tip. But if you make a burner tip of castable it will last.
Ok, i would try to contact a glass studio in NZ for you, so you could get a kilo castable to your burner. But you can try it yourself ?
Where abouts in NZ do you live?
