“Tearing us apart” ??? That’s in stark contrast to the unity and togetherness of the 80’s when the miners strike and troubles were rife?

Tell me, what culture should the UK be? Should we be Anglican, catholic, atheist?
Should we be English, Scottish, welsh?
Should we be friendly, supportive, welcoming?
Should we be abusive, mean, unwelcoming?

I just wonder which culture is tearing us apart? We are just people trying to get along
