Dogs actually thrive on a vegan diet. Mine does. Cats are much trickier though. They are obligate carnivores.
Technically I would say you're plant-based then. Which is great! Veganism is a lifestyle about animals, planet, and health though.

And it's a proven fact that highly-intelligent animals like whales and elephants do poorly (emotionally) and die earlier in captivity.
Zoos aren't for rehab, they're for "our entertainment" I don't understand why we can't leave animals alone and let nature do its thing.
People once thought of slaves as property. Glad we realized how dumb that was and we got over that. Wish we'd do the same for animals.
