Went to a Red Wings game recently and IIRC a bottle of water was ~$5
you also don't need to buy any food at a game, stop somewhere along the way or get there early and tailgate before the game
to add to that no one is forcing you to buy anything at the airport and every airport I've been to (granted it isn't all of them) has had a drinking fountain at it
I'm sure your credit score would follow as well
