We saw him at a small con last year with all the nerds and everyone was so sweet. You could tell they were all friendly with each other and kept going to each other's tables just to gab all day. RIP bud!
No shit. My husband and I had a convo about loving Pappy's Barbecue in St. Louis then bam in the ads. Little too convenient. (But heads up you SHOULD go eat @ Pappy's if you're in St. Louis).
Young Turks call those pressure release valves to bring the temp dow. Basicallygotta throw a bone once in awhile. Also the supreme court is doomed to fail in its formation. Shouldn't be presidential appointed and not lifetime term. Justice Department should also be FULLY independent like European countries. Clarence Thomas has been bought and paid for since he got there. Allows for bullshit like citizens united even b4 this bs of late.
That CNN interview w/Jake Tapper. She cannot move her damn face!
My assumption is running for president? Then say he tried to speak up doing xyz?
I saw an interview with Marla Maples years ago about he just broke her heart that he refused to take a walk with her when she pushed Tiffany in her stroller around the block bc that wasn't manly. Also Don Jr. did his best not to use the last name Trump when he was in college (per his Oprah interview). That dude has the biggest daddy issues on this planet. Its just ughh.
We were just watching a WW2 documentary that basically spelled out most authoritarians and dictators crash out simply bc they start making really dumb fucking decisions. Plus they're surrounded by sycophants who only feed them more dumb fucking ideas instead of a diverse set of ideas. I'm going to use that hope to cling to.
There's a few solid Congress denocrat men and women with no corporate money anymore. Also I'd watch for him, Josh Hawley got rid of his corporate overlords last year. He piped up on Trump here and there but has been quiet lately. Playing the long game.
"Most slaves were treated like family and many stayed after the war"
But it...does? She's calling his command on Lejeune there. It's for context that Lejeune is pretty rough, Jacksonville NC that its in is pretty rough. This was the base housing that Cesar Laurean smashed a pregnant marine's brains all over the ceiling.
Pretty much typhoid Mary. That dirty bitch did NOT want to wash those hands.
Same for my dad's melanoma on his ear. Same for any person on Botched when they've done ears. Takes a bit to heal and even done by the best you see SOMETHING. Also higher chance of things like keloids from trauma.
She had the best frigging hair!
Haven't been there since 2009, but my ex husband was stationed at New River which is in Jacksonville like Lejune but its for the air squadrons. Lejeune had lots of young poorly educated grunts. Jacksonville in general has a lot of DV & assault. Im making generalizations I know but I stopped using the commissary there bc you would get sexually harrassed. I took an extension class there once and we all had to walk out to our cars together with the professor as a class rule (even in the afternoon).
When I lived in NC and actually had a Waffle House, that's where the prostitutes hung out in the parking lot
Its on Prime and my 11 YO found it last year and loves it if that helps! I bought him a vhs box set and he plays it on his crt combo lol.
Im from WI but did my student teaching in NC where my ex husband was stationed in 2009 and the new 4th grade textbooks didn't call it the Civil War so there's that (War of Northern Agression). Which was progress from the old term Yankee Aggression.
My 11 yo learned about the Republicans who block or turn down money for kids to have paid school lunches and was super upset about it as a concept. He said "They're supposedly Christian. They do know Jesus would be cool about feeding kids, right?"
Human nature sadly unless there's a detterant for not voting like a fine, which Americans would hate. Electoral college and our # of parties doesn't help. I have voted for EVERY election since I was 18 except one local one last year when we had a blizzard and the roads weren't passable. I can tell you im one of a handful @ primaries for sure. My high school civics teacher taught us it was our great RESPONSIBILITY and PRIVELAGE to vote and that always stuck with me.
I mean sadly he is charasmatic to a group of people. But its weird that he is bc he's a titty baby wearing make up and lifts in his shoes while shitting his pants w/a boot in their neck.
The meat thing really pisses a lot of conservatives off which is weird. Everyone eats too much meat and cheese and it has an environmental impact.
I have thought this before bc he's such a perplexing dictator choice
Ah got it. This is a bot comment. Exact same one on a few posts.
People are weird and don't take shit seriously until its almost too late.
There was actually a really good Ancient Egypt doc a few years ago that went into the more political aspects. Wealth inequality is what really brought Egypt down. Yeah Romans Romaning and droughts affecting the Nile exasperated it. But the higher class of priests had tons of corruption and had expanded to grow the numbers so high and you get unrest and instability.. Also what made them so strong to last was cultural diversity. To the point of essentially the good kind of cultural appropriation.
My 11 year old just asked me yesterday if we're technically slaves to the rich and i wanted to cry (he's autistic so he sees everything super matter of fact).
Will next month be worse?#2 my 11 year old was just denied a covid booster at the doctor when he did his flu shot today. There was a form I could fill out that he had to pass a qualifying reason to have one (adhd was one) and that was so insurance would even still cover it. Then they realized they've been authorized for the 12+ and not the children's one yet so a no go. Seriously?
Things to rant on as a mom right now...#1 after Trump added the crazy prescription meds tariffs our local pharmacy's supplier suddenly bankrupted and theyre trying to replace them but have now had to close until who knows when bc it isn't worth paying for workers. So I have to shop around and go 45 minutes to who has adhd meds in stock for both my kids (already horrible distribution problems with the generics of these and my insurance would be like $500/month for the brand name for each).
Ppl really underestimate the fact income inequality destroys a civilization. Like chiseling out the foundation of a house, eventually it'll fall.
I cringed watching it but our local news interviewed a group of Hmong men in downtown Madison how they and their families were going to vote. They said well Trump is terrible and wants to be a dictator but eeeeeek Kamala is a woman so...
