That last bird must be your blue jay equivalent. In my backyard there would be ten of them and they'd clean that up down to the wood. There's always a bully in bird land. You can't fill them up. They just cart it off and stash it.

They're both trying to bathe at the same time. Not even kidding. Birds do that. Especially if there's no safe shallow water around to have a splash in. Hummingbirds will take a bath on wet leaf. Some birds take dust baths. Be thankful you don't have to stand in the rain or flap around on loose soil to clean your pits...
