My current rat terrier-chihuahua mix is a shelter dog. She's a real sweetie.
Three hummers frequent (and fight over) my Turk's Cap bushes out front today. They are very territorial about their food sources. I planted them expressly to draw them into my front window views when watching TV in my fav chair. Love watching them.
Breathtaking birds. This video always mesmerizes me: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6SlgpOzWuFU
Brings back memories of my two rat terriers, long passed away now. One of them would grab a knotted rope hanging from a tree and swing to entertain herself. The other would try to pull her off with each swing. Such fun little dogs, ratties are. Playful like puppies their entire lives!
There's a dillo that walks along the base of my house around 6am, rooting/digging for bugs, every day almost. Most days I'm up early enough to catch a glimpse. Such odd-looking creatures. He's never running that fast, though, not even to get across the street to another yard.
Man, does that ever look delicious! And so simple!
GORGEOUS roses!
Impressive. I have one mounted on an outside porch railing for occasional power outages (way too frequent) down at our rural cabin property. But it's hand crank, as the electric ones are no good when your power goes off.
How funny. I know horses sleep in some odd positions, but these are great shots of some I've never seen before. The one with all 4 hooves up is priceless!
How cute is that!?!!
I can't think of mashed potatoes anymore without seeing Randy sink his face into a plateful of them to show his Mom how the little piggies eat in "The Christmas Story". I love 'em, but don't think I could ever do that. LOL
Nope. Although I appreciate they do help out in the garden, like this not-so-little garden orb spider (harmless) I saw on our cabin place in the country. He was a good 2" long x 1" wide, body was about 3/4" long: https://imgur.com/QhI4qp3
Hurts to even watch this.
I've actually been to the Lotfollah Mosque in Isfahan (as a child) and it truly is breathtaking.
So cute! Looks like a rat terrier. Very smart dogs. One of my ratties watched TV seriously like that, especially animals; the other one couldn't see/absorb the TV content even if I pointed to it. Some dogs just can't cognize TV.
I suspect it is an albino form of the species.
Raised 1 standard and 6 minis over the years myself. They are such cute puppies! My last had his back blow out from a stairway fall and had to undergo the "hamburger special" (vet's words) surgery. Lived to 17. After he died, the fear of ever dealing with another back blowout, I switched to rat terriers. Much more high energy than dachsies, but love them just as much.
Yes, I see it now.
Seluki, a very ancient sight hound, bred for hunting. https://www.akc.org/dog-breeds/saluki/
Love me some Earl Gray tea!
That chicken looks scrumptious!
I think I'll ditch my cake day today and come over to yours! Man, those crawdads look good!
Looks delicious and will be trying it soon!
Went through what they said was an F3-F4 in Leavenworth Kansas in 1964. Pretty scary w/ baseball hail bouncing on our sidewalk we watched from basement. Had two F2's go through my town in Central TX last Wed. Power out 4 days. Again, we listened from basement (no home damage for us, but major tree damages). Downed, huge mature oaks over a 10 block radius from. 6 neighbors lost big trees that fell of roofs and outbuildings.
We had 2 hit my city in Central TX on Wednesday. We probably have the only basement in the city, so we dodged the bullet. No house damage; many mature oak limbs downed. Six neighbors lost 1-2 entire trees and roofs were heavily breeched. Entire square mile of this neighborhood took HEAVY tree damage taking out power for 4+ days. Many had fences flattened, but no deaths in the city. One commercial strip mall took severe building destruction.
So funny! My recently adopted rat terrier/chihuahua mix pup went just this ballistic yesterday when she saw an anole (lizard) crawling on the outside of the window. We were ROFL for 5 minutes. She did it again today! Every household needs a valiant defender! :)
What a gorgeous maple! We don't see a lot of maples in Central TX...........only the occasional Japanese Maple like I have, which take near a lifetime to get that big. I'm so envious.
The look on her face is priceless. Perfect title.
Love the wild, crazed eye look mid-video.
