All the comments about humans finding other reasons to manipulate others and wage war are accurate but don’t really address the assertion that religion is worst thing to ever happen to humanity. Both can be true. Humans will always find a way to be shitty and religion happens to be the tool humans overwhelmingly chose to let them be shitty on a massive scale.
My first thought
To train. It started with start with why by Simon sinek. I practiced starting with why which unlocked everything else
Note 3rd and most important is nested under 2nd. Cause adhd got me
Me. I then try to help even if it is “beneath” me as others would say. That earns me grace for whenever I inevitably f up
3rd and maybe most important. I hello everyone since small problems no one else wants to help them with. I listen for frustration around
Worked on my ability to be concise quickly and that lets me pivot when things go wrong. Note this took me a decade and many small skills
Second was public speaking. I set out to conquer that fear and discovered no one knows what I’m going to say, so they don’t know when I fail
2nd, I found a few things I was good at and built my career around that. 1st was Programming, but small projects 1-10 days in length.
First, structured procrastination. Basically organizing tasks by running a pyramid scheme on your task list. structuredprocrastination.com
