Exactly. I think an easy demonstration of the difference between classic Trek (TOS through to ENT) and Kurtzman's Trash is to look at 'great speeches / dialogue scenes' clips on youtube. I have NEVER seen a single example of a brilliant, memorable speech or scene from the Kurtzman shows. They're mindless, forgettable rubbish.
That said, right-wingers will always bash progressive shows like Trek, even if they're well written. KurtzmanTrek just offers them ridiculously easy targets.
