I memorized 65 digits of pi in college to try and impress a boy. It didn't work.
As a beekeeper and entomologist, most of the problems I see are due to pathogens and disease
I lived in Paterson at the time and trust me, I saw NO celebrating.
Diff things depending on your field, most work in agriculture. I work on bee viruses and how they spread in an ecosystem.

I've beekeeped without protective equipment before (so no veil) but those were the sweet bees that didn't fuss about. I've got some (1/2)
We just use cardboard or dry leaves from nearby trees.
I can go back up until July 2013, it's fun seeing where I've been. Apparently all of Aug 2013 I didn't leave my house hahaha
But rainy days = no field days :D
as someone living in Hawaii, you get so used to constant warmth that when it drops it low 70s, you have people walking around in sweaters

I'd like to point out that dragonflies have better colour vision compared to the mantis shrimp because of the opsins
JUST realised I never replied! Essentially, I'm looking at the presence of a virus across different islands depending on the bee populations
