Yes. But gym equipment is hella expensive and they stay pristine because they kick out fit people/lifters and ban people for being "loud."
They are though because their members don't use the equipment so they don't have to maintain/repair anything just collect dues

For a while they were basing funding off a standardized test and schools had to devote a bunch of teaching time to prep for it. Or else.
