I'm Ken. I spend my days trying to comprehend reality and my nights trying to escape it.

I tend to agree, but the age breakdown is fascinating to me, and as an old man gives me hope for the future.

I think what makes the maps look bad is the minimap. The map generator was created to make maps that are good for gameplay, not maps that look good as minimaps.

I am, yes. There is a huge learning curve and a lot to get used to. It is very different from earlier Civ games.

Okay, Tim, get over yourself. ๐Ÿ˜€

I think you're overthinking it. :)

Agreed, but sometimes there's a clever social media intern or whatever that makes it all worthwhile. Wendy's was like that for a while on Xitter.

I use temporary card numbers for this exact reason. Many credit companies let you generate temporary credit card numbers. Some go as far as limiting charges to a specific vendor and automatically suspending the temporary card number when it is used.

Fortunately, the term of an FTC board member is seven years, Khan was nominated & confirmed in 2021.

Many people love Drummer, and Cara Gee's performance is magnificent. Some prefer Draper, and Frankie Adams is also magnificent. Dominique Tipper's Nagata is one-of-a-kind, too. But Crisjen Avasarala is my spirit animal, and not least because I'll watch (or listen to!) Shohreh Aghdashloo perform any role, any time, anywhere.

NOTE: As one of the replies pointed out, the AP has changed the headline since I posted this. It now looks like this: -- but they left the web page title the same as the old headline (as of this post).

Unfortunately I didn't see a byline with reporters' names. It just says "By the Associated Press"

I feel exactly the same. That's why it is so disappointing to me to see this.

That is interesting! It looks like they changed the headline. The current web page title still has the old headline:

One of my friends is sure that is Rudy Giuliani

Yeah, I forgot to mention that in the 2nd pic. A lot of people on the thread where I found this didn't even notice the funky text until they gave it a second look.

A bot posting a dig at AI image generation... deep.

Because I think @fakehistoryhunter@threads.net is funny, and I want to share a laugh?

I wish I knew.

That hasn't been my experience. But I've been very careful with who I follow so I don't see a lot of hateful garbage.

I've tried Mastodon and Bluesky and neither did much for me. Bluesky is promising, but as long as Jack Dorsey is involved I am reluctant.

Hence the post by "fakehistoryhunter" :D

I've seen this before, too, but never expressed quite so concisely.

[citation needed] ... someone made this, but I don't think it was The Lincoln Project or The Young Turks.

That was my reaction, too. :(
