The building in the bottom photo is the Singer Building (Singer being a company famous for sewing machines). It was once the world's tallest building, and again was once the tallest building intentionally demolished. The upper building is pointing to 40 Wall Street, which still exists and was briefly the world's tallest building before being overtaken by the Chrysler Building less than a year later.
