Idk how the cable could get messed up. Only had it maybe 2 years tops and it dried very well at the beginning.
How do I check the power cable? Just the power in the outlet?
Where’s this heating element and how do I check it?
Must have been previous home owner trying to do the solder himself.
Yeah didn't notice the fire damage until like the 3rd year of owning the house. Looked in this access panel for the 1st time back then
What the other side looks like: /a/xBkn1t5 There's a lever, spout, overflow, and the shower thing
The caulk job is mine, not someone else's. Was my first time caulking. Ugh.
Not sure. /a/xBkn1t5 There's the lever, the spout, the overflow, then the shower thing up there
The blue one up goes to the shower head. That's the only thing it could possibly go to at least.
I've only seen it leak when the shower is turned on. That's when I noticed it. Thought I heard a drip, so I went and looked.
Have that same thing sticking up. But the right side one is where I felt it at.
If you look at that copper thing, I felt it on the right side all around where that part is that sticks up. Both the left and right side
So right side of copper thing, on the top, where the green is. I couldn't see the actual source.
The copper thing in the middle. I ran my finger across the right hand side of it where that green stuff is on top of it and that's where.
Gotcha. I have some roofing guys coming today to take a look at it. Thought I'd post to see what I could find out before hand though.
How do I do that?
Any sure fire alternatives? I also have wifi leak detectors on the floor near it.
To clarify, I sent my plumber a text not long after posting this. Didn't expect a quick reply. He said it was just unwiped Flux.
I sent a text to the plumber not long after posting this, didn't expect him to reply quickly. Said it was unwiped Flux. No worries.

That's what they had said. Texted the plumber right after I posted this. He replied fairly quickly and said that was it.
Lol nevermind. Just spoke with the plumber. He said it's where they just didn't wipe off Flux when installing. Said "it's fine".
Ok, I just now did that. I had some of this sitting around, so I used just a bit of it. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01NCSN5AS
Heater. Then it splits off and the other cold water Pex line is that one and it goes through the wall to the rest of the house.
Awesome. That makes sense. How that's laid out is the main into the house is copper then becomes Pex. The Pex then goes into the water
Awesone. Had a guy out this morning replacing the pvc condensate line. Must have knicked it while sawing the pvc. ?
No it's not leaking. Had a plumber out to replace the pvc condensate line near it, and I guess while sawing that apart he knicked the Pex.
Thanks! Oh yeah, most definitely. Just being 300% sure everything looks good and I didn't miss something obvious. ?
From getting behind the plate if it's not caulked?
It's caulk, yeah. I added the caulk myself. Looks like I was wrong to do that. But question is, how do I prevent water from showering
