When you raise the price on a good, you increase the per-unit profit but decrease demand. The optimum price is where those two curves meet, which maximizes profit. If companies have room to increase prices without decreasing profit, it means they've underpriced their goods and are leaving money on the table. If raising corporate taxes increases prices across the board, it means most companies are being mismanaged.

It literally is lmao. The monarch is the head of the Anglican church. That's the whole reason the US founding fathers included the establishment clause.

I'm gonna downvote you for acting like you're gonna teach a troll anything.

This has been an acknowledged thing for like ten years.

This was the first walkman. What were people supposed to do, travel through time and buy the second?

Is anyone else really tired of posts censored in dumb, unnecessary ways? People always say "oh, the algorithm will _____ if you don't," but it usually turns out to be bullshit.

WHAT quote? There isn't a quote in the tweet! Note the lack of quote marks.

You absolutely can, it just won't be fun. The hard part is making the computer good at the game the way a person is good, rather than just 360 no scoping everyone instantly because it's a computer.

I've never seen a reptile capable of language.

The concept of there being a singular white race arose to justify and rationalize slavery, accelerated by the Slave Codes. Racism against people who are different is universal, but white supremacism specifically was literally invented on behalf of capital.

Speak for yourself. If you're that afraid of women being psycho vicious over perceived slights, either that's sour grapes or the fruit of your other problems. Holy shit.

Dogs and cats have basically the exact opposite body language. Imagine if you walked up to a person and said hi, and they smiled and said hi back. You stick out your hand for a handshake and they punch you in the face, and the enormous, long-lived god that feeds you yells at *you* for clapping back.

Nope, in Virginia it explicitly does NOT include divided roads.

Military rifle ammo frequently has a steel core.

You do need to spell it phonetically if you want to force a particular accent via text. For some dialects, "pa" is pronounced like "pah."

I don't care if the musicians are awful people as long as I didn't pay for the music, *and* their flavor of awful doesn't leak into the music.

The question isn't "was there cause for concern." The question is: "is this a reason to escalate to deadly force." Like, what the fuck is going through your head?

Are the demons from a movie, or is it AI slop? I can't tell anymore.

Magnetic Rose, the first (and imo best by far) shortish film in an anthology called Memories, produced by Katsuhiro Otomo.

The bread and butter of the GOP is people who respond to negative emotions like insecurity by blaming whoever "caused" the feeling. When talk goes over their head, it's the speaker's fault. Dumb knows no party. Dumb, hostile, insecure, and unselfaware is pretty firmly Republican.

Not everybody minds smudged glasses. Also, it could be she's essentially blind without them. Everyone I know with vision that bad pretty much only takes them off to sleep, because if they get knocked off a table or something they're in big trouble.

So either they're morons or that's not enough info! One of those is a lot more polite to assume. Also, I'm not 100% sure what you're interpreting as a manufacturer logo, but if it's that arrow, that's a symbol used by the British War Department.

If you, uh, think about it for a bit, they might be looking for a bit more radio than "a UHF receiver." Y'know, stuff like who made it, its purpose, when they were introduced. There's a whole host of details that fall under the umbrella of "what is it" when you're a museum and not some dude on the internet.

Spalling is when bits of a material are flaked off, like when a tank gets hit with a solid projectile and the inside surface of the armor throws off chips and splinters of steel that fly around the interior at speed.

There are several of these I've seen in real life. They're not intended to be high security, and some of them aren't reliable if the building settles. But it's def not just "only works in animations."

I'm not sure I buy that this isn't made up outrage to try to promote actual outrage. It's exactly the same tone and lack of details you see from facebook bots
