Should know that warm temperature and high humidity spells fungal trouble without needing roses to get be ravaged by black spot
What I could understand is if roses were a sort of canary in the coal mine for disease conducive conditions but honestly any vintner 1/2

As a plant pathologist, I can guarantee this isn't true. Neither downy nor powdery mildew of grapes causes disease in roses.
Our 2 golden retrievers were copper and jasper! We named them as small kids
