Telling a commuting cyclist to wear a helmet is like telling the average driver they need a 5 point harness and roll cage.
Because in countries with more developed cycling culture, nobody wears helmets. Netherlands, Japan, Germany etc. These places don't have higher cyclist mortality.
Why are all you people hellbent on telling cyclists to wear helmets. Yet nobody is TELLING DRIVERS TO DRIVE SAFER. cars don't own the road. Cyclists aren't the problem.
Exactly, a helmet will do exactly zilch against SUVs, giant pickup trucks, or semis. All these calls for helmets are victim blaming. The cars are too big, too fast, and too dangerous. Yet somehow cyclists are to blame?

Netherlands, Japan and places with actual bike culture, they don't wear or need helmets. If I get hit by an SUV or Ford F150, a helmet will do exactly nothing. Cars and car brain are the issue, not cyclists.
