My goodness! That’s crazy!

It works faster and can be taken when nauseous though. I do see the benefit.

Amen

It’s crazy expensive

Yes! “Sense of impending doom” is a trigger for higher acuity!

Don’t be afraid of calling if you need something. Just ask for stuff all at once instead of every 5 minutes. Nurses are there to help.

No way he’s a nurse. Must be a 3rd or something. Maybe in research.

At my hospital, yes

The patient is going to need a catheter and their pants are always hard to remove

Ativan is a sedative and haldol is an antipsychotic. If the police are escorting a patient in, you’re gonna need those!

It’s all beautiful ***

Doesn’t matter how you act. Chest pain gets an immediate EKG. most of my STEMIs are on white men 40 to 60 years old.

It’s hard to get the pants off and they are typically old and unable to help you remove clothing ?

You kidding? I love those people. 1 dose of pain meds and round every hour? Couldn’t be easier patients.

That’s still fucked. Any cardiac complaint requires an EKG within 10 minutes of arrival. Even dizziness, htn, weakness get immediate ekgs

We still use it unless your bleeding or pregnant

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Same. Sounds like a triage issue.

Easily the 10/10 pain people. They lay on the call bell like a motherfucker

6 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 0

100% accurate. ER is super focused assessment and care. We never know what the skin looks like unless they are in for trauma or skin issue

Or when to go to their PCP

Different meds despite being in the same class. Also dilaudid is stronger, maybe that has something to do with it. 2/2.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Possibly. Every subsequent exposure increases the likelihood of a reaction, so if the dilaudid was after that’s possible. They are also 1/2

Same class 2/2
